ABOUT THE SESSION
We feel awkward in front of the camera and don’t know how to pose — is that okay?
Absolutely. You don’t need to know how to pose or do anything in advance.
There’s no such thing as being unphotogenic — just different ways of feeling comfortable.
Feeling awkward in front of the camera is completely normal — most people feel that way. We might simply need a little more time at the beginning of the session for you to relax and start feeling natural. And that’s more than okay.
Someone in our family doesn’t enjoy being photographed. How does that usually work?
This is much more common than you might think — and it’s absolutely okay. Many people come to a session feeling unsure, reserved, or simply not excited about being in front of the camera.
My approach is never about forcing anyone to perform. We take things slowly and naturally, giving everyone time to settle in. Very often, what starts as hesitation turns into a surprisingly easy and even enjoyable experience.
When it comes to children, I see the session as time spent together rather than “taking photos”. We focus on movement, play, closeness, and moments in between. There’s no pressure to smile or look at the camera. Children are free to be themselves, to observe, to warm up in their own time.
Not every photo needs to be perfectly posed or filled with smiles — and that’s intentional. Real expressions, quiet moments, and small interactions are just as meaningful.
The goal is simple: to create a calm, comfortable space where everyone can just be themselves — and let the photos grow out of that.
What time of day do sessions usually take place?
There’s no single “right” time — it really depends on what feels best for you and on the kind of images you’d like to create.
For outdoor sessions, mornings and early evenings are often a lovely choice, when the light is softer and more gentle. But that doesn’t mean we’re limited to those hours — beautiful photos can happen in bright midday light or even late in the evening, in a completely different mood.
For home or studio sessions, daytime usually works beautifully, as we can make the most of natural light. Evening sessions are also possible, using artificial light or flash when needed.
Most importantly, we always take your comfort and schedule into account — especially when children are involved.
Before the session, we’ll talk everything through and choose the timing that works best for you.
Where do the sessions take place?
The possibilities are truly endless, and everything depends on what feels right for you and what you’d like to get from the session.
We can photograph in a place that already matters to you — a favorite park, a spot you love walking through, your home, or anywhere you feel comfortable and yourself. Sometimes the most meaningful photos happen in very simple, familiar places.
If a studio feels like the right choice, there are several studios available for rent in Luxembourg. I don’t have my own studio at the moment, but I’m happy to help with suggestions. Studio rental, if needed, is paid separately.
If you already have an idea, or if you’re not sure yet and would like to talk it through, we can always discuss it together and find the best option.
I’d love to have a session at home — how does that work?
Home sessions can be incredibly special. Your home says a lot about you and the way you live, and photographing people in their own space feels honest and intimate. It’s also a way to preserve a place that may change over time, but will always be part of your family’s story.
When I arrive, I’ll look for the light that feels best. Your home doesn’t need to be large or perfectly styled — even a small space can work beautifully. We usually use just a few rooms, depending on the light and the atmosphere.
There’s no need to prepare your home as if for a magazine shoot. A bit of simple tidying is more than enough. Your home doesn’t need to look perfect — it just needs to feel like yours.
Do I need a stylist or a makeup artist?
These services are completely optional.
In most of my photos, people are wearing their own clothes and little to no professional makeup — and that’s absolutely intentional. Natural, familiar looks often feel the most honest and comfortable.
If having a stylist or makeup artist feels important to you, you’re very welcome to invite one. Just keep in mind that these services are not included in the session price and are paid separately.
The most important thing is that you feel like yourself — with or without any additional help.
What should we wear for the session? Can you help with that?
Clothing is often much less important than it might seem at first — so if you’re feeling stressed about it, you can take a breath. You don’t need to buy a new dress or a special outfit just for the session.
What matters most is that you feel comfortable and like yourself. Clothes should feel easy to move in, familiar, and true to you. It also helps when outfits match the mood of the session — a light summer dress usually feels more natural for a relaxed family shoot, while a business portrait might call for something a little more put together. No strict rules here, just common sense.
In any case, we’ll always talk this through before the session. I’m happy to help you choose outfits and make sure everything feels comfortable, cohesive, and very much you.
Do you shoot weddings?
Yes, I do photograph weddings — small, intimate ones.
I’m drawn to quiet, meaningful celebrations with just the couple and a few close people, where the focus is on connection rather than scale.
Large weddings with many guests and formal banquets usually require a whole team — a second photographer, a videographer, an assistant — and at the moment, that kind of format isn’t something I’m looking to take on.
PHOTOS & EDITING
I just want a few pictures. Why don’t you offer that?
That makes complete sense — and many people feel this way at first.
For me, a session is less about the number of photos and more about the experience itself.
It usually takes a little time to slow down, get comfortable, and forget about the camera. That’s when the most natural and meaningful images start to appear. Offering only a few photos often means rushing that process — and that’s not something I enjoy or believe in.
Instead, I prefer to create space for the session to unfold naturally, without pressure or strict limits. This way, you don’t have to perform or worry about “getting it right” — and you’ll often end up with images that feel more honest than you expected.
Will our photos be in colour, black and white, or a mix?
Usually, you’ll receive a mix of both.
Some moments feel stronger in colour, others work better in black and white — it really depends on the light, the mood, and the feeling of the image.
I choose what suits each photo best, so that the final gallery feels balanced, natural, and true to the atmosphere of the session.
Do you edit or retouch the photos, and can you make me look younger or slimmer?
Yes, all photos are carefully edited — I work with light, colour, and tone to create a calm, natural look. I also do gentle retouching where it makes sense: small temporary details, distractions, or things that take attention away from the moment.
What I don’t do is change how you look or reshape you into someone else. My goal isn’t to make you younger or slimmer, but to show you as you are — relaxed, present, and real.
How will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your photos through a private online gallery on my website.
From there, you’ll be able to view, download, and share your images easily, at your own pace.
The gallery is password-protected, so only you and the people you choose will have access.
How long will our online gallery be available?
Your online gallery on my website will be available for one year.
I also keep all sessions safely stored on my own system, so even years later I’ll most likely be able to restore access to your photos if needed.
That said, I always recommend downloading your images and keeping your own copies as well. It’s the best way to make sure your photos stay with you, no matter what.
Will you share our photos on your website or social media?
I may choose to share a few images from our session on my website or social media.
If you’d prefer your photos to remain private, that’s absolutely fine — just let me know before the session.
Your comfort and boundaries always come first.
BOOKING
Can you hold a date for us?
I can hold a date once a deposit has been made.
This helps me make sure the date is truly reserved for you and plan my schedule accordingly.
What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule the session? Is the deposit refundable?
If you need to cancel the session more than two days before the scheduled date, the deposit is fully refundable.
If the session is cancelled two days or less before the scheduled date, the deposit is non-refundable.
Rescheduling is possible by agreement and can be done once, depending on availability.
I always try to be understanding, so if something comes up, it’s best to let me know as soon as possible and we’ll see what can be done.
What if the weather forecast looks bad and we’ve booked an outdoor session?
If, on the morning of the session, the weather truly doesn’t allow us to shoot outdoors — and moving the session indoors isn’t something you’d like or isn’t possible — we have two options.
We can either reschedule the session for another day that works for everyone, or I can refund your deposit in full.
We’re ready — how do we book a session?
Simply fill out the contact form below.
If possible, let me know the type of session or package you’re interested in, the location (if you already have one in mind), and your preferred dates and time.
I’ll get back to you to talk through the details, confirm availability, and share the payment details for the deposit.
The session is considered booked once the deposit has been received.
